Doctor Who - Series 7 Major Spoilers

Posted on 5:36 AM by Unknown
Yes, I said major spoilers, so you know, tread carefully and all. Series 7 of Doctor Who is going to get a bit more interesting.

The last episode Mark Gatiss had filmed for the upcoming seventh series featured both Liam Cunningham and David Warner but the latest episode being filmed, rumoured to be titled The Crimson Horror features mother and daughter Diana Rigg (The Avengers) and Rachael Stirling (Tipping The Velvet). Rigg will be playing Mrs Winifred Gillyflower with Stirling playing her character's daughter and yes folks, both ladies will be our villains in this one.

There is a scene being filmed with Matt Smith's 11th Doctor who dons a bowler hat and costume during this 1800s based story, set in a town called Sweetville. This means that both of Mark Gatiss's episodes this series are period pieces and it's not just the Doctor getting into style either.

Jenna-Louise Coleman as Clara will also be getting into style and I've heard rumbling that Clara ends up going into Winifred's (also known as the Ice Lady) sinister factory (where people enter but don't leave) and is seemingly killed in the process. Does this mean that Clara is going to take over Rory's mantle of companion deaths now? Also in this episode is Brendan Patricks, playing the dual role of Edmund and Jeremiah.

Also returning in this episode as well is Catrin Stewart as serving girl Jenny and Neve McIntosh as Madame Vastra, both of whom were spotted on set. It's Jenny who seemingly witnesses Clara's death in this episode as well. And is it me or is this episode in particular very female led? I'm not saying that as a bad thing but with Clara, Vastra, Jenny and that sinister mother/daughter duo, it's definitely going to be a very girl power episode of the upcoming series.

Meanwhile, the show will be represented once again at this year's Comic-Con. Details include ...
